As
cardiologists develop their practices, they
consider bringing stress/rest testing in-house,
under their control. We install gamma cameras
and hot labs in a variety of clinical settings.
Cardiac
imaging can be brought into a practice where
appropriate gamma camera, hot lab, a patient
prep room, and space for a treadmill can be
provided.
We
are also experienced in the setup of IDTFs (Independent
Diagnostic Testing Facilities), where a complete
nuclear diagnostic testing lab may be shared
by several physician groups. Each physician meets
his patient at the IDTF to perform the stress
test. The imaging portion of the test is performed
by the nuclear medicine technologist at the facility.
The completed report is then delivered to the
referring physician. Various equity arrangements
are available to those involved in the practice
of nuclear medicine.
New emerging uses of existing technologies such as cardiovascular CT are among
the several growth areas currently under development.
